Heather Joy-Henriques Medina AIA, NCARB, LEED AP
From early on, Heather was captivated by design. She would sketch floor plans for dream homes using graph paper and scale templates she found. She witnessed firsthand the magic of transforming designs from paper to reality, having grown up around construction.

During high school, Heather thrived in Mr. Uhl’s Mechanical Drafting class, where she felt completely at ease, blissfully dedicating hours to meticulous drawings. This passion led her to California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Architecture. Even before her graduation, Heather had dived into her professional career, contributing to diverse projects, ranging from K-12 schools, libraries, performing arts centers, gymnasiums to commercial and residential structures. However, her heart always gravitated towards residential design, particularly Mixed-Use and Transit-Oriented Multi-Family projects.

Beyond design, Heather ventured into Real Estate Development. This experience armed her with an investor's insight, ensuring her designs were not just aesthetically pleasing but also informed by considerations of ROI, functionality, constructability, budgeting, market trends, and sustainability. Her comprehensive knowledge of codes and regulations, combined with her innovative problem-solving skills, makes Heather a formidable architect.
